Data Deletion Instructions

At SpeedDM, we value your privacy and comply strictly with Meta Platform Terms §3(d)(i) and GDPR Article 17 (Right to Erasure). You have full control over your personal data and connected Instagram credentials. We provide multiple methods for immediate, permanent data deletion.

How to Request or Trigger Data Deletion

Method 1: Instant In-App Deletion (Fastest)

Delete from SpeedDM Settings

If you have an active SpeedDM account, you can permanently delete your entire profile and all Instagram data with one click:

  1. Log into your SpeedDM dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Settings from the sidebar.
  3. Scroll to the Danger Zone section at the bottom.
  4. Click Delete Account & Data and type DELETE to confirm.

Your credentials, tokens, and automations will be erased immediately, and you will be provided a confirmation code.

Method 2: Remove via Instagram / Facebook Settings

Automated Meta Data Deletion Callback

You can disconnect SpeedDM directly through Meta's native settings. When you remove SpeedDM, Meta automatically sends an authenticated deletion ping to our live callback endpoint:

  1. Open the Instagram App or visit your Facebook account settings.
  2. Go to Settings & Privacy > Permissions > Apps and Websites.
  3. Find SpeedDM under the Active tab.
  4. Tap Remove.

Upon receiving Meta's signed callback, SpeedDM immediately revokes your access tokens and permanently purges your integration records.

Method 3: Email Support Request

If you no longer have access to your dashboard or Instagram account, you can submit an email request:

  1. Send an email to: support@speeddm.com
  2. Include your Instagram handle (@username) and account email.
  3. Use subject line: "Delete my data"

Our support team processes verified deletion requests within 7 business days and sends a confirmation email.

What Data is Permanently Deleted?

When data deletion executes, our servers permanently remove:

  • Instagram API Access Tokens: Revoked with Meta and purged from our database.
  • Automated Workflows: All triggers, keywords, listeners, and media associations.
  • Conversation Logs: DM delivery histories, bot session tracking, and follower analytics.
  • Cache & Rate Limiting State: All Redis session keys, profile caches, and account velocity records.

Verify Deletion Status

Have you already submitted a deletion request or removed SpeedDM through Meta? You can track and confirm the completion status using your confirmation code.
